Ascent Gen 2

I was incredibly surprised on how well the shoe fit as well as how it looked. The design of it is super sexy and most importantly, really comfortable. I really appreciated all of the options of the insoles to vary the level of minimalism. Looking forward to wearing these more.

Quality 10/10 The construction is levels up from the Olukai and Xero shoes I wear. The sole is much better quality which you feel right away. The presentation and care and thought that has been put into the package and accessories, I've never seen something like it. To send out with 3 options for insoles is awesome. I feel like I'm always chasing just the right balance of casual wide toe box shoes that can be worn with a dressier outfit, or just out for dancing at live music, and the best I had before these are not as cool as the Icarus Ascent Gen 2. I really like how they have the zero drop somewhat minimal, but have such a good quality sole the also feel like you get support differently then other brands, but just the right amount.

Stoked to have these as a new shoe to add to just two other type shoes I ever wear, as I had only found 2 that are so comfortable I just gave up on all random other shoes used to wear. And I love that the outside of sole isn't white, and the also perfectly fit my high end custom orthotics.

Grateful for the time and effort that was put into designing and manufacturing this shoe.

My son introduced me to Icarus shoes last year, which he has been wearing for years. I just received my pair a few days ago and was amazed at the construction and fit right out of the box.

Received my new black Accent shoes. Sizing is right on target and they look and feel great.

These shoes saved my feet. Wear them all the time!

i've tried almost every work out shoe, CrossFit shoe, barefoot shoe you can think of. there are tons out there that either look good, feel good, breathable, functional outside the gym. never all in the same shoe. this is literally the only shoe that does all the above. and the fact that it comes with different insoles? you kidding me? that's just amazing. I'm not rich, but I would invest in your company if I could. I instantly bought my wife a shoe and you bet your behind im going to be preaching the gospel of the ascent shoe to everyone I know.

my only nit pick is we need more colors.

I've been looking for a barefoot sneaker that can be dressed up with jeans and doesn't look "clownish". These are incredible. Plus, getting three insole options and a set of toe spacers included makes the value unbeatable. This is a no-regrets purchase.

This is the 2nd pair I’ve bought from Icarus over the past two years, and I can’t speak highly enough about the shoes, their overall quality and design, the staff, customer support, etc. Hands down my favorite daily pairs of shoes to wear as well as work out in. The customer support is fantastic and you can absolutely tell the staff genuinely cares about their quality in craftsmanship. If you’re looking at zero drop shoes for a daily wear and/or to work out in, don’t waste your time looking elsewhere. I’d just buy two pairs now to be honest, I absolutely love these!! They’ve also really helped with hip/ankle mobility and just general mobility for workouts if you’re doing anything CrossFit or functional fitness related. Can’t speak highly enough about them!!!

I love the shoes. The packaging was clean and neat. These shoes are really nice; almost too nice for the gym. The build quality appears to be good. I do think these run a little large, but not so much that it becomes a problem. I bought two pairs and I do not regret having the second pair ready for when my first pair gets really worn down.

I got these shoes because they were extra wide at the ball of the foot. They are great for me, and I also appreciate being able to fit the extra thick sole in, to get used to feeling more of the ground. All the extras make it very worth it, even with extra import costs for the EU.
I would like to suggest some more designs, preferably with some optical illusion to give it the appearance of not being a super wide shoe 🙏

I've slowly been rotating out all of my shoes to ones that have wider toeboxes and a more natural foot shape. While I find my Altras much more comfortable than my previous shoes and love wearing them, I was getting tired of wearing only athletic sneakers all of the time. I'm glad I stumbled upon these shoes, which look much more stylish while also retaining the same level of comfort. The construction feels great and the level of packaging and extra insoles feels very premium. I also really appreciated the note from the founder that was included with the shoes. I like knowing that I'm supporting an individual and a small business that cares about their product over a faceless corporation. I wholeheartedly recommend these shoes and encourage anyone to give them a try.
